Q:	What is the turnaround time for resumé and letter preparation?
A:	The usual time between first meeting and completion is one week, although this can be done in 24 hours, if needed.

Q:	Can I start the career counseling process without knowing my direction in life or my career goals?
A:	Yes. Connections' career counseling process starts wherever you are, helps you to discover potentially satisfying options, and guides you making decisions about these options. If you have ideas about what you might want to do, we start with those. If you are totally blank, we help you to learn options that will be productive for you.

Q:	How many sessions does Connections career counseling take?
A:	There is no set number of sessions, but the usual number is between one and four. The first session is used to identify key issues and to develop possible directions, and often this is all a client needs to be able to move forward.

What are the steps of the Connections career counseling process?

A:

First, getting clear about what you want to be getting out of working, defining the qualities you are looking for in a job and a working environment, and the rewards you want to get from working. Second, helping you to identify the career and job directions which will give you what you want, so that when you get where you're going, it will actually be a step forward. Third, teaching you how to find a job, so that you are confidently in charge of the job hunting process rather than just answering advertisements and hoping for the best. Fourth, providing whatever support you need while in this process, including while you are searching for your next job.

Q:	Can I do just a part of this?
A:	Yes. You get to decide how much or how little of this process you need. Regardless of how briefly you work with Connections, we are always available for telephone consultation if you get stuck in the job hunting process.
